Three Years and Counting...

I can't believe it but it's been three years today since Brett and I tied the knot! Having an anniversary if nothing else makes you looks back and cherish all of the time you've spent with each other... Brett and I have grown so much over these past three years both as individuals and as a couple. I love being married to someone that pushes me as hard as he does! It doesn't always bring out the best in us- with two Type A personalities we have our less than stellar moments but knowing that no matter what I have someone who has my best interest at heart make all the hard work worth every second. Three years ago we were young and crazy with not a care in the world... Funny what a difference three years does to ya! Now were working on graduating from school, stabilizing our careers and working towards getting a house so we can start us a little family. Three years go I don't think we could have spelled house and a baby! :) So to my fabulous hubby- thanks for three amazing years!I wouldn't change these past three years for anything in the world! I defiantly snagged me the best husband a girl could ask for! I love you babe!

MRI Results are in...

The MRI results are in and they were what we were expecting. Unfortunately I will be having surgery on July 20th. :( I was able to meet up with my surgeon Monday morning to go over all of the crappy details. A few months back when I had my x-ray they were able to find a bone spur so to take care of that problem he is going to go in and cut that off and shave down my shoulder bone some to give my shoulder some room to bend and move without pitching and squeezing on everything. The MRI also found a cyst. From the looks of things the cyst developed from a torn ligament which is causing some bursitis and an impingement in my shoulder. Basically if we get those two main problems taken care of the other problems will quickly heal as well. My surgeon said it will be a fairly quick surgery and I should be free to head home once I come out of the anesthesia. With a success rate of about 85%. He said being as young as I am if all goes as planned I should feel relief in about a week- once the sling is removed it will be happy shoulder movement for me!

I have never had surgery before so I am a little nervous (to say the least...)!As most of you know I am a major control freak! I have to know whats going to happen, when its going to happen... I need an exact plan! You throw doctors and a hospital into the mix and you have anything but control! Brett is just happy I will be loopy on meds so I don't freak out too much!

Terrified!!!!

Today is the day....

So as most of you know I am completely claustrophobic! I hate being locked in small spaces and you cover my head with something you are pretty much a dead man (yes Brett knows from experience!). For heaven sake snowmobiling my helmet is ripped apart because I refuse to have the face shield on! It covers my entire face and although Brett thinks I am completely crazy I know I am suffocating! Yes, I would rather freeze my face off than cover it up! Tiny spaces with no air are my own personal hell!!! The first test of our marriage, snorkling in Hawaii! I literally set on the beach a good 10 minutes with that darn mask on trying to convince myself I was not going to die. Brett finally said he was getting in the water so I decided I better follow! :)

So that brings me to my worst nightmare! I have been having problems with my shoulders, the right one in particular for some time now. I have seen a few doctors and they have all recommended the same thing... and MRI!!! You have got to be kidding me... me in a small enclosed tube... NICE TRY! So I put it off for as long as I could and now a year later the pain in my shoulder seems to be happening constantly. Every day, every activity, every occurrence. When I couldn't get threw blow drying my hair without being in absolute pain I decided it was time to get this little shoulder problem taken care of... I was just hoping their would be some way around and MRI! So for those of you trying to work around this same "little" problem...there is NO way around it! The only saving grace...DRUGS! Hopefully they will dope me up so I don't remember my name! If I had it my way I would not remember the drive to the hospital!

Doggy Birthday Party

This weekend Duke got invited to his first Doggy Birthday Party! Brett's cousins had a little birthday party for their puppy Lucy! It was such a cute idea! The dogs were so excited to get together and run wild and us "parents" were excited to get them all tired and worn out! :) Close friends and cousins, and of course their dogs, gathered for a little BBQ and puppy play time! It got a little crazy with so many dogs around but it was sure a cute idea! The dogs even were given cute little goody bags when we went home for the night! Seriously so cute! Duke came home and passed out- I have a feeling he is going to have what we like to call a "lazy Sunday"!

Duke and his buddies waiting for a treat!

Merideth and Megan tried to get all the dogs to sit and look pretty for a nice little group photo but as you can see they had other ideas!

Our cute little babies!

Thanks for the fun party Cody and Meg! Duke had so much FUN!

Ladies Night!

This past Friday I was so excited to join my sister, mom, and my mom's sister and her daughters for a little Ladies Night! My cousin Lisa was in town from Seattle so it was the perfect excuse for us to get together! :) We had a lot of fun! We met up for a delicious meal at Texas Roadhouse and of course lots of laughs and great conversation!

A little girl talk and awesome food... what could be better?!?!?

Girls Night Rocks!

It was my counsin Tashina's Birthday the next day so her little sister pulled a fast one on her and had Texas Roadhouse give her a birthday song to remember!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHENNA!

Jackson Hole

A few weekends ago Brett and I got to escape on a little mini-vacation... I am refusing to call it a vacation because NO vacation should be filled with rain or snow... in May no less!

All aside we had a really FUN trip! Brett and I have not been to Jackson Hole since we were little kids so it was exciting to go back. There were a few things we remember from downtown but it was also like experiencing the cute little town all over again! It was so pretty! The shopping, the food, and of course the elk antlers! It was so fun to just relax and enjoy some time with our family! We were able to camp right next to the Snake River. It was so pretty! Brett and I have enjoyed the view so much we have decided we want to go back and float the river at some point... we figure were young and kid-less so now is the time to be stupid and white water raft! :) After Jackson we proceeded on to Yellowstone... well we tried... ROADS CLOSED DUE TO SNOW! So we detoured and went straight into Greybull to see my little cousin graduate from high school. You would think we escaped the cold mountain weather but not so fast... not only did we experience chilly nights but also a broken camper heater... looking back this vacation was a little bit of a disaster but we all sure had fun. No one complained or got upset with the weather... we were just able to roll with it and enjoy some good ol' spring time fun!

Elk Antler Square. For those of you that don't know... Jackson Hole has a large Elk Refuge just outside of town.

A quick pic at one of the elk antler arches. Tayeson was so funny... he had to get his picture taken with each little family

A beer at the famous Cowboy Bar

Our hike down to the Snake River- SO beautiful

Sweetest husband in the whole world!!!!

Every girl loves flowers! Even if they are picked from the neighbors garden (shhhhh)!!!

Best husband in the world... even when I am feeling a little down, stressed out, exhausted, overwhelmed, or all of the above my sweet husband knows just how to bring a smile to my face! Who says you have to spend a lot of money to make a girl happy!

Working boys!

Put um' to work in the yard for a few hours.......
