Party! Party! Party! Isn’t that how bachlorette parties are suppose to go!?! This Saturday we celebrated my sisters last weekend of freedom with a little night out on the town! There was dinner and of course drinks at Keys on Main! So much fun! I have to say Keys on Main gets funner and funner every time I go! The wedding day count down has officially begun- - - Just a few more days to go and then it’s time to really celebrate!

OUCH!

Sad story of the month… So for about a year I have been battling some shoulder and back problems. Within the last month it has gotten pretty bad and the pain has seemed to get worse and worse everyday. So after a week long headache I finally decided to go to the doctor. I was referred to an orthopedic specialist by a friend and after some x-rays and examinations we found that I have rotator cuff tendonitis that without physical therapy can result in surgery!  I received a cortisone shot and instructions to attend physical therapy 3 times a week for the next 4 weeks. We are hoping this works and we can avoid surgery if at all possible. So ladies and gentleman the moral of this story… DO NOT wait as long as I did to see a doctor if you are in pain because I tell ya those cortisone shots are not as great as they are cracked up to be! Cross your fingers and pray for a happy physical therapy outcome!

Belated Birthday Post!

Brett's 27th Birthday was August 5th (a little late, I know)! We have been super busy with work and helping out with my sister's wedding but we managed to sneak in a little BBQ with friends and family the Saturday before Brett's birthday! It was a lot of fun! Brett only wanted one thing for his birthday... a get together with friends and a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. For those of you who have not tried one of these yummy cakes we highly suggest it! Brett fell in the love with the first bite! So for his birthday this year we decided to try something new... a Red Velvet Cake! Delicious! SO good! Honestly we can not say enough good things about this place! Well worth the 20 minute drive to pick it up and my husband's happy grin- priceless!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRETT! I LOVE YOU BABE!

BBQ King!

So Brett and I have a new toy- - - a BBQ Grill! Brett’s parents got a new grill a bit ago and they were so sweet to give us their old one (Thank mom and dad… WE LOVE IT!) Well, we have just about BBQ’ed every day for the last month! Our apartment has no air conditioning so turning on any source of heat in the summer just about kills you, so having this BBQ has literally saved our lives!

Brett has really become the BBQ Master! We have grilled a little bit of everything over the last few weeks… steak, chicken, halibut, shrimp, kabobs! All of it was SO tasty! I tell ya it’s a good thing I married him- - - this man can seriously cook!
