Fourth of July Celebration?!?!?!

This year our Fourth of July was spent at Primary Childrens Medical Center. My sisters little one unfortunately became very sick the Thursday before the 4th and was hospitalized (I am sure she will have a very detailed story on her blog!). With all our family out of town, my dad lives in Wyoming and my mom was in California visiting family, Brett and I bounced back and forth between caring for everyone's dogs and houses and visits to the hospital. It was quite the hectic week but it was nice to be able to spend the 4th of July with the McBride's even if it was under less than thrilling circumstances. Last week when we stopped by the hospital once Tayeson was feeling better we realized he was so hyped up on Morphine and Oxycoadone he hardly remembered any of our visits let alone the firework show we caught on the hospital balcony! I tell ya a three years old on drugs... gave us all a bunch of laughs! The medical staff told us he would either be extremely nice or well a little less nice... he was definitely less nice! He loved his mom and uncle Brett... his dad and Aunt Brandie, well he could have done with out us! He is definitely feeling better now- he loves his Aunt Brandie again! I think it made my day more than it did his! He's my little buddy so seeing him in so much pain and discomfort was almost too much for me to handle! I broke down in tears twice.... two more time than my sister and her husband! I tell ya they are amazing parents. They were with that little boy every step of the way... he is one lucky little dude! Finally after 8 days in the childrens surgical unit this past Friday night our little nephew was released from the hospital! Although he still has some recovering to do he is much better than he was on the 4th of July!
