Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!

On Saturday May 8th my mom and I were honored to participate in the Susan G. Komen Salt Lake City Race for the Cure! It was an amazing honor! So many people turned out for this fabulous event. An event that aims to find the cure for breast cancer! It was amazing to see-literally people from every walk of life turned up to show there support for this wonderful cause. This organization is very close to my heart. As I mentioned in an early post my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer and since that time several of the women of my life have had a scare with this terrible disease. Although she is no longer with us my grandmother has remained a constant light of love and support in our family. A women all of us girls strive to make proud. She was a strong, independent woman who loved life and cherished her family. I was so honored to wear her name on my shirt and run in her honor. I can not wait to do it again next year! My mom and I are already planning our theme... that's right family and friends! Next year we are going all out! Team name! Shirts! Cute Outfits! And of course lots and lots of pink! We will keep you all posted on next years date! Hopefully you can all join us and help us race for the cure!

My amazing husband and I.
Nothing better than your dad and hubby cheering you on!

Mom and I at the end of the race!

The finish line!WAY TO GO!

Seriously SO many people! Men, women, and children! Everywhere you looked PINK!

SO Cute!

Last month at craft class we made one of my favorite projects! This adorably, cute arrangement of paper flowers! We were given the choice on what colors we would like to use so in anticipation of a home purchase I decided to go with reds, blacks, and whites which will match the cute little room set Brett and I purchased for our future guest room! It was the easiest project every, a little time consuming but I swear the end project was TOTALLY worth it! I seriously love how it turned out!

If you are interested in signing up for an amazing Saturday let me know! Country Bum Creations has an amazing craft class held every third Saturday each month. You will love it! You will walk away with cute and affordable projects just like these!

Mr. and Mrs. Cody Evans

On April 10th Brett and I were honored to help his family celebrate his cousin Cody's wedding. Cody and Megan were so cute and completely in love. Cody has always been the older cousin looking after all those crazy boys so to see him with Megan just melts my heart. Without a doubt one of our favorite couples! Brett and his cousins are very close so in turn all of the women in their lives have become very close. We have all become an amazing group of friends so to finally officially become family was awesome!

Their weddings was so beautiful! Seriously seeing all of the flowers, dresses, and delicious food made me want to marry Brett all over again. Brett's cousin Casey is the next to get married and his amazing fiance Ashley did all of the flowers- they were SO pretty! It was such a beautiful ceremony and the reception was amazing! The Evans Family sure knows how to throw a great party! Congrats Cody and Meg- We love you both!

A little taste of wine country

So my dad's company was just recent acquired by another company and as a result my dad has a new President/CEO and I must say I like him already! :) When the two companies first merged he invited everyone to his home for a dinner. My dad was so blown away. This man had a home people can only dream of. My dad said it was absolutely amazing and to top it all off he had a wine cellar in his basement. My dad got to talking to him about wine and of course my love of all things wine. The last time they met up a few weeks ago he had just returned from a trip to California's Wine Country and surprised my dad with a few bottles of wine for Brett and I. We loved it! Let's be real here, Brett and I are not rolling in the dough so we don't typically buy expensive bottles of wine so to get treated to not only one bottle but three thru us over the edge. We have loved sampling the wine! It's been amazing with everything from pizza to steaks!

My dad was so sweet. He surprised Brett and I last weekend with our bottles of wine and all the wine accessories to boot! It was a wonderful weekend full of delicious food and red wine!
